The Council has launched a survey of Church Street residents, businesses and neighbours, asking them what they like and don’t like about the previously approved plans for Sites B and C regeneration.
We want to hear from as many people as possible about how they’re feeling about the plans, any areas of concern and how they’d like to be engaged in design development.
By completing the survey, you could win a

Demolition has continued at a pace during January and February and many of the buildings in Site A have been removed to make way for the new homes.
To ensure everyone’s safety and allow the market to continue as normal, scaffolding and hoarding has now been put in place on the
corner of Penfold Street and Church Street.
Some market stalls have now moved either into the middle of Church Street or to other pitches.
If you have any questions about the demolition programme, you can contact:

Supporting existing Church Street businesses throughout the regeneration project is a top priority for the Council. Over the last year,
the Council has worked with businesses in Blackwater House (the part of Site A that faces Church Street) to find new local homes for them.
While this wasn’t possible for every business, we are pleased to say that Church Street Dentist, Collins Chemist, City Carpet, and Pound
Superstore have all successfully relocated within Church Street and Edgware Road.
The most recent business to open their new store is Sinbad. Sinbad was formerly on the corner of Edgware Road and Church Street
for over 20 years.
Mr Hamound, the owner of Sinbad, said, ‘I’m really happy with my new location and being able to continue serving my customers’
The Church Street Partnership, the joint venture set-up by the Council and Mount Anvil to regenerate Site A, recently supported King Solomon Academy during its Careers Week.
Mount Anvil team members working in jobs ranging from community engagement, finance, and surveying to marketing attended two-speed networking events to share insights into their roles, career journeys, and what they love about construction.
They also joined the careers fair, where they had a stand and were ready to answer any students’ questions and give out information on Mount Anvil’s Makers & Mentors programme, which the Mayor of London supports.
The week was organised by Camilla Al-Hariri, Head of Careers and Universities Service at KSA, who said, ‘We are so grateful for the support of numerous volunteers from Mount Anvil who supported our Careers Week. We know the construction industry is growing in Westminster, and it is brilliant for students to learn about the varied careers in the industry directly from those working in it’.
These awards are here to celebrate the people who make Westminster a better place. There are 12 categories with awards to
recognise volunteering projects, green heroes, neighbourhood centres, arts and culture, and

We can’t wait to celebrate the people who are the beating heart of our wonderful city, but we need you to tell us who they are! Nominations are open until Sunday 9 March. Check out the categories and nominate somebody today
